The perfect getaway! Sedona, AZ

Leave the kiddos at home and grab your hubby or girlfriends and head to Sedona. Stunning views, art, great food and hiking! Don’t forget to book your spa appointment and relax! The perfect getaway!

Ok, so I did not take my own advice….. My husband and I had our first child in October and everyone told us we needed to head on a trip around 4 months…. so here we are!! We loved Sedona. It was a great trip with the lil guy. I will be back with kids, husband or girlfriends. Such a great trip and so much more to experience!

We stayed at the Amara Resort & Spa. It is located in the heart of downtown Sedona. It’s so convenient to walk to shops, galleries and restaurants. It’s a spa hotel that has an outdoor pool, hot tub and is pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Another option I’ve heard a lot about is the Enchantment Resort. I’ve never stayed here but looks great. It’s more remote, but might be just what you need for a relaxing spa vacation.

Bell Rock Trailhead

Other than getting lost in the downtown and at the local shops, there’s plenty of things to do outside. My favorite is hiking! Here are just a couple options!

As you’re driving into Sedona from Phoenix, you’ll pass right by Bell Rock. It’s quite the site and I was excited to hear it was a hiking trail. It’s 1.1 miles round trip so perfect hike for us carrying a lil one. You don’t have to walk far to get a spectacular view. Just what we needed to get outside and get some fresh air, a great view and a little exercise.

Another great hike is Devils Bridge Trail. The perfect photo opp hike. It looks amazing but not with a 4 month old ☹️ We skipped it this trip. Definitely on our list to do next time.

Grand Canyon & Half moon bay:  If you’re willing to take a drive a good day trip is to head up to Half Moon Bay. On the way back, take the long way and drive through the Grand Canyon. It is ~3 hours to half moon and ~2 hours to the Grand Canyon from Sedona. Worth the drive to see one of the natural wonders of the world!  Half Moon Bay was surprisingly my favorite part. It was a beautiful day and the view was stunning. Also captured a great family photo below of the three of us. What a great memory. Grand Canyon is always one not to miss. Those views never get old!!

My favorite restaurant was The Hudson. Great food, good cocktails and above all a great deck with a view.

Unfortunately we couldn’t get a reservation at Dahl & DiLuca. It’s an Italian restaurant, so if you’re craving Italian make reservations early!
